Once you go black, you don't go back.   ;)

Nicely said  :) This should be new ZM:BE motto.

A major update is coming soon. It is not a set release date unfortunately, but it will be very exciting news.

SO by soon do you mean a couple hours, days, weeks?

Personally, I don't like the Idea of infection. If i wanted to play against other players, I would go to zombie panic. Survivors vs Zombie master is what I play this for (other than the realism). zombies not under the zombie master command would make the zombie master position completely void. BUT! I do like poisoning. For example, instead of instant kills, blobs poison the player, and over time (if the player isn't already killed) the survivor will bleed out, and die from the poison.
As I posted in another topic:
We could add a Med Kit that allows a player to become a sort of healer for the survivors.

It would be preferable for only 1 of each of said 'Class Items'. More each player having a specific and individual role makes the game more challenging and fun. Having 50 med kits would ruin the idea of healing because the role would become standard and not unique.
It would be fun for a survivor team to have:
-1 tank with a riot shield to make a path for other players to get through
-1 medic with the med kit to heal poison, and rehabilitate downed players
-1 Engineer, that fixes guns, shields, and etc.
- the rest could just have guns, who's sole purpose is to be the zombie killers. The most important players, the ones who do the general killing.

I like the 1 hitter quitter zombies, but maybe some kind of body armor can be added. Instead of more health or less damage, armor can be added to absorb killing blows (damaged armor can be fix by the designated engineer)

If infection is such a big demand, then I guess a different game mode should be added. As an option, not a standard.

To highlight what I said earlier.
ITEMS with abilities NOT classes
BLEEDING not infection
ARMOR not weaker zombies.

I want to preserve the gameplay that is already there; and maybe add somethings here or there. The basis of the mod is already AMAZING. I wouldn't want to see another generic infection zombie game like Zombie Panic (Not that it isnt a good game, its just that there are too many like it)

OH!! Maybe some sort of friendly fire option, Just for the realism. OPTION. Cuz I know a lot of jerks who would kill me for no real reason.

I would like to see some effective melee weapons. Something that  a real survivor would have access too. I would suggest:

Broken bottle
aluminum baseball bat
a stick (yes I am serious :P  Its easy to find and use)
a rock (YES, once again. Not everyone has a katana laying around. Im suggesting we use something realistic and commonly used as a weapon)
Nailboard (their everywhere. Including the ones being used to block entrances)
Spiked Knuckles ( It doesnt have to be the brass ones; for all i care, the survivor could duct taped nail to his fist.)
USP (its a personal favorite; Silencer would be icing on the cake)
A revolver (I have no preference. Its just nice to have one)

M1A1 (A lot of people have them mounted on their walls, thanks to your veteran grandparents)
M14 (I like it, because its a powerful, semi-auto rifle, bordering sniper.)
Winchester (because it was an amazing weapon in ZMBE 1.2E)

DSR-1 (I dont want to kill the realism thing going on here, but its the sexiest sniper rifle i will ever use)

I also have no preference in this category. Let a rip.

Before I post this, I want to say ZOMBIE MASTER BLACK ROCKS!!!!!!!!! >:O
ZMBE General / Re: Class based player system

I agree with nckwntzl. Skills earned over time would be a lot better. How about items earned though a game. These games are usually long, and backbreaking anyway. So lets just say that Everyone starts off the same over time and as they progress through the map they each person can pick up an item that lets them specialize. For instance, one player picks up a medkit, and are now able to to heal players (if the zombies are no longer 1hitter quitters) or able to bring someone back from the dead (maybe after a charge/recharge period). Or a player picks up some sort of riot shield, that prevents him/her from getting killed by any zombies in the front, allowing survivors to ram/spearhead through thick sections of zombies (of course, the shield would break over time). Their could be blowtorch that allows players to fix broken items or prevent them from breaking (maybe materials such as scrapmetal can be pick up here or there).
I'm sure that Items with such abilities, would be allot easier to script then an entire class and experience system. That would make the game ALOT more strategic, and allow players a more diverse gameplay without needing to add a whole class system.

Items with certain abilities, sounds more realistic, and simpler.

Maybe the blowtorch can fix weapon durability, as to prevent jamming and etc.
